Join us as journalist and lecturer Janine Zacharia moderates a discussion between professors Maneesh Agrawala and Jay Hamilton on the evolving field of computational journalism, which is affecting how news stories are discovered and reported.

Jay Hamilton is the Hearst Professor of Communication, Director of the Journalism Program and Co-founder of the Computational Journalism Lab. His book, Democracy’s Detectives, is on the investigative reporting market.

Maneesh Agrawala is the Forest Baskett Professor of Computer Science and Director of the Brown Insitute for Media Innovation at Stanford. He works on how cognitive design can be used to improve the effectiveness of media.

Janine Zacharia is the Carlos Kelly McClatchy Visiting Lecturer in Communication. She is a former Jerusalem Bureau Chief and Middle East Correspondent for the Washington Post.
