McArdle Hankin is co-Founder and producer of Back Pocket, a live storytelling event based in San Francisco. Prior to Stanford University, he worked in and between art and tech for three years, with a focus in design research and multimedia storytelling. He is interested in investigating the fundamental questions that surround new internet users and their evolving relationship with news. Such as: how will new internet users contribute their stories to the global conversation? What can we learn from emerging markets to better advance our own systems? Other interests include documentary photography and the bifurcation of news consumption in the U.S.
