Amy graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Development Communication from the University of the Philippines Los Baños in 2013. During her stay in the university, she spent one summer as an intern with the Southeast Asia Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture where she learned more about climate change and agriculture. Amy has been applying her knowledge in science communication during her four years as a communications specialist with the World Agroforestry Centre, and two years as consultant with the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security. A Filipino-American, Amy would love to apply the storytelling techniques she will learn at Stanford in the Philippine and Southeast Asian context. Her other hobbies include dance, music and photography.
