Elizabeth Myong

Elizabeth Myong graduated from Rice University with bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and English. She worked as a fellow at CNBC and was the founding reporter for a grant-funded journalism partnership between The Dallas Morning News and KERA, the NPR station in Dallas leading The Texas Newsroom. Her work has been recognized with a regional Edward R. Murrow award and Texas Broadcast News awards. She has also been selected for the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future Food Systems and Public Health Fellowship for Journalists, Poynter’s Power of Diverse Voices program and the Poynter-Koch Fellowship. Her work has been published by Civil Eats, NPR, APM’s Marketplace, WBUR’s Here & Now and The Houston Chronicle among other publications. She is excited to use data and investigative storytelling to cover what’s happening in our food systems. When she’s not on deadline, Myong is most likely trying a new ice cream spot, driving to the beach or junk journaling.
