Eden Collier

Eden Collier graduated with distinction from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in English, a minor in Creative Writing, and a Berkeley Changemaker Certificate. She served as a senior sports reporter for The Daily Californian, UC Berkeley's independent newspaper, where she covered women's collegiate athletics across four beats and wrote a regular sports column. During her senior year, she interned for NBC Sports Bay Area & California, covering Northern California's professional sports teams. Eden has also reported for The Press Democrat and Sonoma Magazine in Santa Rosa and interned for Capitol Weekly in Sacramento. Most recently, she broadened her work into science and technology communications through positions at UC Berkeley's Lawrence Hall of Science and Planet Labs in San Francisco, where she developed stories about space, climate and Earth observation. She is the 2026 recipient of the Sacramento Press Club Kevin Riggs Scholarship. At Stanford, Eden looks forward to expanding her reporting across sports, science and technology while developing the investigative, multimedia and data journalism skills to tell impactful stories.
