Alex Hughes

Alex is an aspiring journalist from the Seattle area who is passionate about platforming creative storytelling and accessibility in their work. As an undergraduate at Stanford, they studied English with an emphasis on creative writing and poetry. Outside of class, Alex dabbles in both music and volunteer work and currently works as a columnist for Stanford magazine’s Class Notes. They hope to imbue their love of creative writing into their journalistic interests, which include long-form narrative, arts, and science journalism. In their free time, Alex enjoys painting, baking, and listening to podcasts and audiobooks.
