Tori is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University, where she majored in communication studies and double minored in journalism and business administration. Upon graduation, she was the recipient of the School of Communication and Fine Arts Scholar Award, granted to the graduating senior with the highest overall academic record within the school. Immersed in the city of Los Angeles, Tori held internships within the fields of fashion and entertainment at organizations such as Dolce & Gabbana and Fox Broadcasting Company. Further, she has served as a contributing writer for outlets including GreekRank.com and Kaplan Test Prep. As an undergraduate, Tori discovered her journalistic niche in profile writing, which, for her, involved finding creative ways to tell people’s unique stories and connect those stories to grander social issues. At Stanford, Tori hopes to continue to strengthen her storytelling skills, while also learning how to effectively incorporate multimedia and data-driven elements into her projects. Her greatest challenge for the upcoming academic year? No longer living within a 45-minute vicinity of Disneyland.
