Jia Hui Tan hails from the sunny isle of Singapore. She graduated from Yale-NUS College with a bachelor’s degree in literature in 2019, and served as arts editor of The Octant, and editor of Unseen Magazine, a national literary magazine. A lover of all things media, she has explored different facets of the industry through a diverse range of journalism internships at The Straits Times and The Business Times, as a writer at Prestige Magazine, as a digital strategist at GOODSTUPH, and a commodities price reporter at S&P Global Platts. At Stanford University, she is excited to integrate data journalism with storytelling, hoping to give voice to and augment future narratives.
